Happy 2024!!

This post will be short because I really don’t have THAT much to share.

Each New Years I can’t help remembering the fact that in the 44yrs of my life, I have never spent one celebrating New Years with anyone but my parents. Personally, I think that’s rather sad.

I did date ALOT in my teens but never with anyone long term. My ex-girlfriend was the only one who gave me jewellery and that was lost in a housefire that we had in 2001.

Due to the fact that my mother wouldn’t allow wine, etc. we only ever had grape juice on Holidays.

My brothers are alcoholics so we just did not drink. I never understood being an alcoholic because some strong drinks really taste awful.

I don’t see the point.

I like wine, bloody mary’s and margaritas but in all honesty haven’t had one in years. I’m just not interested besides I am on medications, etc. better safe than sorry.

I must admit that I wouldn’t have minded being able to celebrate as everyone else did when I was in my 20’s though.

I still love New Years! You never know what will happen!

Although, some who I grew up around, etc. tend to treat me as people are treated when they have left a cult. Thankfully, not everyone treats me that way!

That is why I’m obsessed with cults at the moment. I find so many things that I have in common with survivors, it’s rather sad. Every survivor from every cult simply amazes me with their strength. There’s also such a big world filled with people. Why fear meeting them and making new memories!?!
