Blog

This blog tells about the updates Angela makes.

It features her art but talks a bit about others, etc. as well. This does not happen in every post!

Angela is not shy in speaking up about others who have inspired her, etc.

This blog is to help create awareness of LGBTQ rights, etc. but first speaks up for Women in the arts.

However please note that if you have any political issues, etc. contact those in charge of them. This blog is mainly about art.

Thank you for understanding and Namaste

Halloween & Art memorials!

Hey you guys!

The first thing that I wanted to share with you is a Halloween photo I took of my statue Freda!

She is in memory of

Frida Kahlo July 6, 1907 - July 13, 1954

and

Freddie Mercury

Sep 5, 1946 - Nov 24, 1991

Freda stands for bi-sexuality awareness, trans awareness as well as the healing found in yoga and meditation!

I don’t think the witches hat I put on her fits. Do you?

I painted the bricks behind her as well.

The brick showing the American Flag is in memory of my ancestor Abraham Lincoln

Feb. 12 1809 - Apr. 15, 1865

and the brick showing the British Flag is in memory of King James I

Jun. 19, 1506 - Mar. 27, 1625

The next thing that I have to share is a photo that I created called Dare to Dream.

I sketched this offline, scanned it and digitally painted it to become what you now see!

This was created to show that I hope that you NEVER stop dreaming but don’t let the technology of today, etc. turn you into a robot either.

A.I. etc. can NEVER replace a human being. It has no soul but is a very good tool when used correctly. Nobody should forget that it can be downright dangerous to overuse it though.

The next thing I have to share is a video talking about the value of art because so many simply do not realise it.

I wanted to say that I am deeply saddened by the loss of Diane Keaton. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

I am still stunned and looking at my wall, I can’t help imagining one of my leaves turning into a candle in her memory.

What a loss to our art family. She will be missed.

Lastly, I wanted to share a photo of something I’m creating.

Please know, this is not even close to finished! It’s simply just started. What looks wet is actually simply clear and very hard.

This is only the first layer. You’ll also notice the uneven areas. That’s easy to cover up when working in layers.

Although, I’ve never really made something that was not simply a mosaic to hang on that wall so we shall see.

I live in an area without access to a laundromat so I have to do my laundry by hand. I don’t know about you but I don’t love doing laundry, etc. So I wanted to make it fun by turning it into a piece of art!

Some may not call it a piece of art but many artworks have actually been very useful. The very important thing when going there is to find materials that are waterproof! If you don’t, you just may have a mess on your hands.

Why not take a not so pleasant subject and turn it into something fun!?

I’ll be sharing more of this as I’ve added to it.

Please feel free to leave a comment here, on my youtube channel, etc. and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Until next time,

Namaste,

Angela
