Blog

This blog tells about the updates Angela makes.

It features her art but talks a bit about others, etc. as well. This does not happen in every post!

Angela is not shy in speaking up about others who have inspired her, etc.

This blog is to help create awareness of LGBTQ rights, etc. but first speaks up for Women in the arts.

However please note that if you have any political issues, etc. contact those in charge of them. This blog is mainly about art.

Thank you for understanding and Namaste

A loss and update.

Hey everyone!

Can you believe that it’s March already!?

I can’t!!!

Time really flies. Speaking of time, we just recently lost a friend of mine from the theatre.

Ashlee Farris Oct 15, 1970 - Feb 15, 2020

The arts in all forms is just beyond wonderful in my eyes!

To me those in the artworld are my art family, especially some that I worked with.

I met Ashlee years ago when I was 15yrs or so.

Ashlee was there when I pretty much could only work back-stage, to when I could be in the chorus and eventually when I could have small roles!

That was a very hard time in my life. Still, I did not let that stop me.

I almost did a few times though. Art was always there! I learned the show must go on from the arts!

When I turned to the visual arts, Ashlee was one of the people I contacted in 2011.

I asked if she would help me with getting ready for an art exhibition.

I loved to recycle and this was a recycling show, I was super excited about that!

I was even more excited when Ashlee helped though because there we were again working together!

Although this was soo much work the only person who came was Vinette. Noone else came, but ya win some and ya lose some.

Still, the show must go on!

Due to that, I’d keep painting but wouldn’t have another exhibition as I’m not sure that those in Georgia even want me here.

It’s rather ironic if you ask me because if I sold alot of art and could move, they’d have me out of their way and would never hear from me again.

Still, this was in 2011 and I wish that I had contacted Ashlee to get together again.

I of course asked some others who I knew from theatre for help but not one of them replied. At least she didn’t ignore me.

I feel like finishing my latest project is even more important now.

Each leaf is representative of either someone I worked with, was inspired by or both.

Some are from theatre, some from the visual arts and other places.

I love that I can change who they represent at any time, seeing as how I did not put titles on them.

If you don’t already follow me and know about my latest project, you can read about the meaning of it, etc. in my last post.

This is a collage I made to show you all what I have added!

I have to note that any contest, etc.created has brought me joy in seeing that others care. Thank you for them! I know that in this huge world, there are many artists who I did not grow up around. I know that there are many who are willing and able to treat me normally and give me as much respect as anyone else.

Those I do talk to internationally help me learn about people, etc. for future projects.

I am thankful for you beyond words and for the joy you bring into my life.
