Blog

This blog tells about the updates Angela makes.

It features her art but talks a bit about others, etc. as well. This does not happen in every post!

Angela is not shy in speaking up about others who have inspired her, etc.

This blog is to help create awareness of LGBTQ rights, etc. but first speaks up for Women in the arts.

However please note that if you have any political issues, etc. contact those in charge of them. This blog is mainly about art.

Thank you for understanding and Namaste

Thank you!

Hey everyone!

I hope that you had a great weekend!

I have a few things to share this week.

The first is a collage that I made of my studio.

In Memory of Connie Wingard

In Memory of Connie Wingard

First I wanted to tell you the story behind it.

On Holidays, etc. I’d write a greeting to a friend of mine. I never really expected a response everytime.

I’d usually get one though and they’d cheer me up! I loved hearing from her!

On one thank you note she made for me in 2017 there was a flower.

I couldn’t go to her funeral due to my health.

Although, honestly I have grown a bit used to not being able to attend events.

I’ve missed many pretty big events due to my health over the years.

It always bothers me a bit but I never have let that stop me!

I hope nobody ever does because the show must go on.

Anyway, I decided to paint this flower on my wall in memory of her!

It is not done so keep your eyes on my posts. I may make another collage to share.

It does not look exactly like the flower on the card but it’s partially like it.

I’ve also recently been looking into my ancestry due to my fathers comments, etc.

I can really go into loads there but will just say that I’m extremely glad DNA tests can be made today.

Everyone knows my feelings about family and if you don’t I feel as if family does not always have to be blood.

I’ve been inspired by and feel close to many who aren’t blood at all.

I’ve learned so much from many in movies, etc but have found family in theatre that I will hold in my heart always.

I’ve gotten laughs, joy, etc. from many who aren’t blood. Those things often helped me through the hardest times in my life.

For a long time, I thought those were the only things that helped me through those times but now I think some of the strength I have is thanks to my ancestry too.

I have to admit that my ancestry blows me away so much that I’m still in a state of shock sometimes.

One ancestor who was in a big hisorical event is WOW but multiple!

The first person that I found out about was Ann Poindexter who hanged in Salem Massachusetts in 1692. That is why there is a noose in this painting.

Due to that I’ll be adding another flower in honour of my ancestors!

I’ll be sharing more about that in another post.

Please have a wonderful day!

Namaste

Angela
